BALLET
We understand how important it is for all dancers, regardless of their age or ability, to get their shoes correctly fitted. We recommend to every dancer that you come in to the store so our trained fitters can help you find the right shoes for the strength and shape of your feet.
We stock Dansoft & Prolite Ballet shoes in full sole & split sole. These shoes come in full & half sizes with up to four width fittings - with so many options, you can see why it’s important to come into the store to get the correct fit!
For those dancing en pointe we have Pointe & Demi-Pointe shoes from Gaynor Minden & Bloch. Pointe shoes should fit like a glove and the sizing is different from other types of dance shoes.With a choice of fitting in the length, width, box size, heel height and shank, these shoes must be fitted personally. Your feet will also change as you gain strength and experience, so you will need another fitting every time you come in for a new pair.
Fitting Pointe shoes correctly always takes a little extra time. To serve you better, the best thing to do is make an appointment with one of our trained fitters. Just call us at Croydon, Dandenong or Nunawading and we'll try to make a time that’s convenient to you.
JAZZ
For your Jazz class, we have Jazzlite (full sole) and Ultraflex (split sole) shoes from Bloch in children’s and adult sizes, black and tan. We also have the popular
Enduro-Tech which offers superior support and breathability.
Uniform requirements vary, so it’s a good idea to check with your teacher about which shoes your class requires before you come in.
Dance Art stocks the highly popular Boost Sneakers by Bloch. Available in adult sizes, the revolutionary split sole offers flexibility without sacrificing support, while the lightweight mesh upper ensures breathability and an excellent fit.
Remember that dance shoes have completely different sizing systems to regular street shoes, so it’s always best for the dancer to come in for a correct fitting!
TAP
Dance Art stocks the popular Tap-On (low heel) and Show Tapper (mid heel) shoes from Bloch, all sizes for girls and ladies in black and tan. We also have character shoes by Annara and Irish Dance shoes.
For boys and men we also carry tap shoes by Paul Wright and Bloch.
We only stock brand new quality shoes that are built to last, but because we understand the wear those tap, tap, tapping feet will have on your shoes, we stock paint to cover up those annoying little scuffs, as well as replacement taps and insoles.
BALLROOM
We have a wide range of Dancesport shoes by Bloch and Capezio for Ballroom Dancing and Latin American practice and performance.
Availability of styles varies from store to store, but if there is a style of shoe you need that we don’t have in stock we will do our best to find it for you.
